Mr Benjamin Jones is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist. He is Assistant Director of Womb Transplant UK and a core member of the UK uterus transplant programme.

He is based at the Lister Fertility Clinic in London. In addition he is an honorary consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London, where he remains actively involved in academic teaching and research supervision.

After graduating in 2009, Mr Jones completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in North West London and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015. In 2016, he was a founding member of the International Society of Uterus Transplantation and completed a PhD in 2019 focused on fertility preservation, fertility restoration and uterus transplantation.

Mr Jones has been centrally involved in both the living and deceased donor uterus transplant programmes in the UK and the UK’s first successful uterus transplants and subsequent live births. He leads the fertility treatment and reproductive care of patients before and after uterus transplantation, including fertility preservation, IVF treatment, embryo transfer, pregnancy planning and long-term follow-up. His work spans the full translational pathway, from donor and recipient selection to pregnancy outcomes and long-term graft health, and he has contributed to the development of ethical and governance frameworks supporting the safe evolution of uterus transplantation.

He is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications, lectures internationally, and continues to supervise postgraduate research. Mr Jones is deeply committed to the mission of Womb Transplant UK and to advancing safe, ethical and equitable access to uterus transplantation for women with absolute uterine factor infertility.’
